The Bury first team crashed to defeat at home to neighbours Rochdale. Weakened by absences, the home side had a strange look, with Sheraz Khalil and Brian Forrest moving up from the second team and Lee Baron stepping in as reserve on board three at the last minute. Although encouraged when Rochdale turned up a man short, regular team members were perhaps trying too hard, and only two draws put further points on the Bury side of the scoresheet.
